Know where and when your card is being used and protect it by turning it off if you suspect fraud or if you lose your card. It's ideal for cardholders who want to manage their debit cards through their mobile devices and it's easy to sign up in the new Legend Bank Mobile App.

Payment cards offer both convenience and risk. You can make purchases easily, but if your card falls into the wrong hands, your personal accounts are vulnerable. Safeguard your information with Card Control, an option within the Legend Bank Mobile App that lets you deactivate your debit cards when you don't need to use them. Protect your cards against fraud and theft by turning them on and off, and get real-time alerts to ensure your cards are used only by you.

Budget Conscious

Overspending is easy. Now, sticking to your budget can be too. Take control of your finances by setting spending thresholds, specifying merchant types and turning your cards on and off. Want to block your card from online shopping or not allow a transaction over a set amount to go through on your card? Card Control empowers you to control your debit card spending in real-time.

It's Easy to Enroll Your Cards

Just follow these simple steps in our Mobile App. Click on the "Services" on the left side menu, click "Card Control".

You'll be redirected to your app store to download the Card Control app.

You will be redirected to the AppStore to download Card Control app.


If you previously had CardValet, you may be prompted with the screen below. You can enter your Card Valet log in information to connect with Card Valet or you can "Skip this Step" by clicking this option at the bottom of the screen.

Once the app is installed, you'll go back to the Legend Bank mobile app, accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, then you can add your Legend Bank debit card. Click "Add Card" and enter your debit card number to begin registration.

Enter your card number and hit continue.

You'll need to verify some of your personal information and then you'll receive confirmation your card is ready to use in Card Control.

Turn your card on/off

If you lost your card or you suspect fraud on your debit card, you can easily turn your card off by clicking the on/off button. You'll be prompted to verify your selection once you make this change.

You'll receive a notification to confirm you want to turn your card "off".

When you are ready to turn your card back on, select "yes".

Set Control Preferences

Control preferences will control if a debit card transaction is declined, allowing you the ability to control the types of purchases that can be made with your Legend Bank debit card. You can select control preferences for:

  • Locations
  • Merchant Types
  • Transaction Types
  • Spend Limits

Within the Location Controls, you can select My Location, My Regions and International preferences.

Merchant Types allow you to control the type of merchants that are allowed. You can select from a variety of options, including Department Store, Entertainment, Grocery and more.

Transaction Types allow you to control the types of transactions that are allowed with your debit card, including in store, eCommerce (online), mail/phone or at the ATM.
Card Control-Transaction type

Spend Limits allow you to set a spending limit for purchases made with your debit card. Card Control will deny purchases made if the amount exceeds the spend limit.

Set Alert Preferences
With Card Control, you can set alerts for the same categories as you set your control preferences. This allows you to be notified when, where and how your card is being used.

Note: Card Contol send its own push notifications. You'll need to use the Legend Bank mobile app rather than the Card Control app on your phone. If you select the Card Control app, you will be redirected to the Legend Bank mobile app.
